意大利语言与文化 in Italy

365英国上市官网's three-week faculty-led program in 的里雅斯特, Italy. Italian language students  have an immersive experience in-country and develop their linguistic abilities and intercultural knowledge. The course will be held during the Summer I session. The first three weeks will be taught on campus beginning May 6. Then students will travel to 的里雅斯特 for the following three weeks of class. 在的里雅斯特大学, students will study and practice Italian with students from the university. 也, 学生将参观博物馆, 观看表演, experience the canals of 威尼斯, and enjoy the culture of the Adriatic Coast.

项目概述

Students will fly together as a group to 的里雅斯特, a beautiful seaside city in Italy. In 的里雅斯特, courses will be held at the Università degli studi di 的里雅斯特, with frequent educational excursions throughout the city. 

Students will be introduced to the history, geography and local culture of the city of 的里雅斯特 and the region of 弗留利Venezia-Giulia through visits to 博物馆, cathedrals and other sites of interest. Through immersion into the life at an Italian university, they will learn about modern Italian culture while gaining an appreciation for the art, 体系结构, music and cuisine of 的里雅斯特 and the surrounding region. On the weekends, students will have the opportunity to visit nearby destinations such as 威尼斯 或米兰.

Following the program, students return to Michigan from Italy. Some choose to stay behind in Europe and travel by air or rail to Rome, 威尼斯, 巴塞罗那, 巴黎, 或伦敦.

The travel is a required component of this course, and students who cannot or do not plan to travel will not be permitted to enroll.
