Incoming first-year students and undecided transfer students receive academic advising support in the First Year Advising Center.  Students beyond their first year in college are assigned an academic adviser in the school or college advising unit connected to their academic department.

While some advising units require students to meet with their assigned academic adviser each semester most students should schedule an academic advising appointment at least once a year.

In addition to an academic adviser, students have access to additional staff to support them, including those connected to special programs.
