The faculty members of 的 Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine have certain responsibilities and privileges that operate through 的 system known as faculty governance. The philosophy and regulations on which faculty governance is based are in compliance with 的 standards set forth by 的 Liaison Committee for 医疗 教育 and are described in 的 宪法 of 的 Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. The Bylaws of 的 教师 are intended to supplement 的 宪法.

The OUWB 教师手册 is written to orient members of 的 OUWB faculty to 的 school's mission, 愿景, 价值观和目标, its administrative structure, 组织, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities of 的 School of Medicine 教职工大会

The 教职工大会 of 的 School of Medicine shall: 

  1. Advise 的 Dean in all matters 的 Dean wishes to bring before it. 
  2. Initiate proposals on all matters relevant to 的 general welfare of 的 School of Medicine. 
  3. Vote to approve or not approve recommendations presented to it. 
  4. Be consulted on all matters of academic importance to 的 School of Medicine. 
  5. Take such actions as are necessary to exercise responsibilities stated elsewhere in this 宪法. 
  6. Receive reports from 的 Dean and all standing and ad-hoc committees. 
  7. Facilitate faculty objectives in regards to instruction, 研究, and service programs for which 的 faculty of 的 School of Medicine is responsible.
