Submitting Allegations of Academic Misconduct

Before submitting an allegation of academic misconduct, 请 carefully consider whether:

  • the student's conduct was merely a mistake that can be corrected with further instruction, 和
  • this is a teachable moment or something that needs to go through the conduct process.

If submitting an allegation near the end of the semester, 请 complete your submission within 48 hours of when grades are due 和 submit an “I” grade for the student’s final grade. Although the professor determines the final grade, a grade change can be completed once the conduct process is complete.

Please remember that the person(s) reviewing the allegation will not be as familiar with the content as you are. Therefore, it is important to provide all relevant details describing the allegation.

For advice on how to prepare your materials or for any questions about the process, 请 contact the 教务长 office at (248) 370-3352 or (电子邮件保护).

As the reporting professor, you need to supply:

  • clearly describes the alleged infraction with supporting materials; 和
  • names of each student involved, even if you do not believe a particular student was responsible for alleged misconduct.
